Game play: This 5 Reel Spinning Slot has 5 Paylines. Unlike other Vision games, the LCD screen is centered in the top box, and is surrounded by an illuminated bezel with a snapshot of Clark in his Times Square New Year’s setting in a prominent location near the LCD screen. On top is a replica of the famous glittering ball that descends in Times Square to usher in the new year. It is an attention-grabbing presentation.  The LCD screen lights up to map out the pay lines and explain exactly what is happening in the primary game.  The reel symbols are various New Year’s party favors, champagne bottles, and, as the top award symbol, a head shot of Clark himself. There are two separate bonus events. Three or more champagne bottles on a lit pay line activates a secondary bonus game on the LCD screen. Several champagne bottles appear on the screen, and the cork pops off one of them. The player’s bonus amount "pours" from the bottle. If the player reaches this bonus amount by landing four or five champagne bottles, an additional one or two corks pop off to reveal added bonus awards.
The main bonus event is triggered by three or more scattered Dick Clark jackpot symbols, is the famous New Year’s countdown. The LCD screen splits into four TV screens, simulating the split-screen countdown on the New Year’s Eve show. Dick Clark is in one corner announcing the countdown against the backdrop of New Year’s Eve crowds jammed into Times Square. On another screen is the image of the ball descending the Times Square tower. Another screen has the actual countdown clock, starting at 10 seconds. On the fourth screen, bonus amounts flash rapidly in sequence. The bonus amount that is lit up when the countdown reaches zero indicates the amount the player wins.
